Dyeing Fibers

Learn to dye natural fibers in this 2 session class. Session one will focus on wool-dyeing techniques, starting with one color dyeing and moving on techniques to create your own cancy multicolor yar skeins and wool roving. Session 3 we will dye cotton and silk fabric, starting with the basics and then moving on to jar-dyeing and gradient dyeing to produce multi-color fabrics. Class fee includes a kit with fabric, yarn and roving samples to use in class, as well as complete instructions to take home.
Saturdays, July 14-21 noon - 3pm. (2 sessions) $55 includes fiber.
